Credit Union of New Jersey (CUNJ) today announced a new identity theft protection service for its members through a partnership with CyberScout (www.identitytheft911.com), the recognized leader in identity theft resolution, defense, and education. Under the new program, CyberScout's industry-leading victim resolution services will be available to CUNJ's 32,000-plus members at no cost to individual members. Members will also have ongoing access to the nation's leading consumer education program on identity theft risks and defenses.
"Our members can now enjoy peace of mind, knowing that they have the best identity theft protection available," said Andrew L. Jaeger, President and CEO of Credit Union of New Jersey. "With the RB421 program, we've taken an important step to keep our members' identities secure, as well as providing free resolution services for any member who does become a victim."
The CyberScout resolution program includes a personal advocate who works with the victim every step of the way to resolve the crisis and restore the victim's identity.
"Credit Union of New Jersey has a long history of providing its members with services designed for their individual needs," said CyberScout President Steve Christenson. "Adding identity theft victim resolution and education to its array of member benefits continues that tradition by providing every CUNJ member with a safety net against identity theft."
"Our commitment to serving the needs of our members is reinforced by the addition of the fraud protection services offered by CyberScout," said Jaeger. "Giving our members the information they need to avoid this crime — as well as a fast, effective response if they should have a problem — helps us maintain our status as an innovative, member-driven financial institution."
