Quincy Mutual Selects CyberScout to Provide Identity Theft Protection and Resolution Services to Homeowners Policyholders

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. March 22, 2011 — CyberScout, the nation’s premier identity management and data risk management services provider, today announced that Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Company, a Massachusetts insurance company with more than 150 years of expertise, has chosen the company to offer identity protection and identity theft resolution services to customers. Quincy Mutual policyholders and their family members now benefit from CyberScout’s LifeStages™ Identity Protection Services during the times in life when they are most susceptible to identity theft.

Insurers offer coverage to protect a broad spectrum of risks associated with homeownership and property and liability coverage have been standard in the industry. Several years ago, Quincy Mutual introduced an Identity Theft endorsement to each homeowners’ policy which would allow for indemnification of certain expenses incurred by the policyholder to resolve issues associated with this type of incident. Complimentary to these offerings, Quincy Mutual now has additional identity theft services added to an already broad spectrum of coverage to create a comprehensive package for policyholders.

“We’re pleased to partner with CyberScout to offer these exceptional services to our policyholders,” said Kevin Meskell, executive vice president, Quincy Mutual. “Their reputation for delivering sound advice and solutions enhances the value of the homeowner insurance policy we provide through our independent agencies in Massachusetts.”

CyberScout fraud specialists cover a range of issues, from proactive measures to adopt throughout a person’s life to identity theft and account takeover resolution. In the event of an incident, they provide high-touch service to victims from the initial call for help until the case is resolved.

“Identity theft risks are growing in scale and intricacy and customers demand comprehensive solutions for a range of issues during life,” said Matt Cullina, CEO of CyberScout. “At a time when companies are scaling back, Quincy Mutual has instead opted to enhance their policyholders’ experience and protection with additional expert and education services.”

The Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Company offers a full range of insurance products to protect the property and liability needs of individuals and businesses. Quincy offers these policies through more than 400 Independent Insurance Agents located throughout the New England states and New York.
